About Save a Life

A generation of young Sri Lankans, building the country they want to live in.

Founded in 2014 by Rakulan Kandasamy, Save a Life began as a small student initiative in Jaffna. A decade later we are a nation-wide movement of 1,500+ volunteers working across nine programmes — from mangrove restoration to menstrual health, from blood donation networks to disaster relief.

What we do

Our nine programmes.
